Code Of Conduct

Tauranga Dog Training Club Code of Conduct

Every person in our club, and sport, in every role has the right to participate in an environment that is fun, safe, inclusive and healthy, and to be treated with respect, dignity and fairness.

How can we ensure that all our members; inclusive of committee, trainers and people who attend training receive this right?

On training/club nights, at agility competitions and public events we will

  • Communicate with people in a respectful tone and manner
  • Talk quietly with a person if we see a problem to allow them to maintain their dignity
  • Maintain confidentiality about personal matters
  • Seek support from committee members or trainers if we feel an injustice has been done or said
  • Think about other people’s position and understand they may be experiencing challenges in their personal life
  • Encourage people to have a go and understand we all learn differently and at different paces
  • Be accepting of change
  • Promote the interests of our sport and club
  • Be a positive role model
  • Be supportive of those volunteering their time to administer the sport and club
